Dodger Stadium 2020 Renovation

The Dodger Stadium improvement project included a new front door fan experience through centerfield which opens into 2 acres of new interactives, vantage points, retail & concessions in a new plaza area behind the pavilion seating area. The pavilion seating was completely renovated to include new homerun seating, sports bars, restrooms, batter’s eye overlook and standing room decks with bridges that now connect to the main stadium concourse. The stadium circulation has been drastically improved with the addition of two new elevator towers that flank the outfield, new perimeter escalators surrounding the hillside stadium, and gate reconfiguration to create continuous fan access within park to all viewing areas.

Responsibilities:

Owner’s representative services including managing design consultants, contractor procurement & supervision, cost control, budget oversight, owner direct furnished scope, change management & negotiations, invoice review, schedule management, and overall administrative procedural control.

Wilshire Boulevard Temple — Audrey Irmas Pavilion

Los Angeles, CA

Designed by Rem Koolhaas and his OMA partner, Shohei Shigematsu, the three-story Audrey Irmas Pavilion is a 55,000 square foot addition to the Wilshire Boulevard Temple’s Glazer Family Campus. It consists of a Chapel and terrace, a grand ballroom, a catering kitchen, meeting rooms, performance spaces, a rooftop sky garden and houses The Annenberg Foundation’s GenSpace. The modern, trapezoidal building features a facade that slopes away from the historic temple.

Valley Beth Shalom – Levine Community Center

Designed by Abramson Architects, the Valley Beth Shalom Levine Community Center is ground-up construction of a gymnasium and multi-purpose building. The main space was designed with flexibility in mind to suit the various community events ranging from basketball games to musical performances to religious services. The 17,000 square foot building includes a full basement providing a library, music room, conference rooms and break out spaces, as well as an occupied indoor/outdoor mezzanine and an outdoor play area. The project also includes a campus upgrade of electrical service and renovation of adjacent buildings.

Westmont College Global Leadership Center

Santa Barbara, California

The Westmont College Global Leadership Center (GLC) consisted of the construction of student housing that is also used as a center for executive training and professional functions during summer months. The GLC is comprised of two residence halls, approximately 17,200 sf each, and one Commons Building of approximately 8,300 sf. Each two-level residence hall houses 70 beds for a total capacity of 140 students. The commons building includes a central lounge, classrooms, coffee shop, program offices, offices, and a Resident Director apartment. The project also included site work associated with outdoor spaces and pathways between the existing parking and new and existing buildings. The project achieved LEED Gold certification at completion in the Fall of 2017.

Stephen Wise Temple Katz Family Pavilion

Los Angeles, California

Designed by Lehrer Architects, the Katz Family Pavilion at Stephen Wise Temple consisted of the renovation and expansion of an existing multi-purpose building to accommodate a full-size basketball court and two practice courts. The Pavilion provides a modern space to serve the existing functions and gatherings. The north portion of the addition was constructed of 23′ tall operable glass bi-fold doors that front on the new outdoor plaza and Shalom Garden.

Oakwood School Pedestrian Bridge

North Hollywood, California

Designed by Levin & Associates, the Oakwood School Pedestrian Bridge spans Magnolia Blvd. to connect the north and south campuses of the Oakwood upper school. The bridge connects to the second floor of existing buildings so that students can safely cross the busy street. The City approval process for the bridge was incredibly complex, as the bridge supports are on private property but the bridge spans public property. The bridge is the first phase of a twenty-year master plan project.

Responsibilities:

Searock Stafford CM provided complete owner’s representative services, including design and contractor management, project budget and schedule development and maintenance, contractor procurement and permit coordination. Additionally, Searock Stafford assisted with the development of and Los Angeles City approval of a Master Conditional Use Permit to implement the master plan.

AMDA Cosmo Building

The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) is a college conservatory for the performing arts located in Hollywood, CA. Designed by Rockefeller Partners Architects, the Cosmo Building project was an existing office building from the early 1900s re-purposed to a black box theater. The building also houses classrooms, offices, conference rooms and theater staging rooms. Renovations made include demolition to the structure, build out, major electrical upgrades for theatrical lighting requiring new DWP service, structural retrofits, new HVAC systems, new restrooms and showers and general tenant improvements.

1800 Vine Street was an existing 60,000 square foot 3 story office building with two levels of below grade parking. Arch Vine LLC re-positioned the building to provide a contemporary façade, roof deck and open office space attractive to creative tenants.

Responsibilities:

Searock Stafford CM provided complete owner’s representative services, including architect and contractor procurement, project budget and schedule development and maintenance, construction management and permit coordination. Additionally, upon completion of the shell/core upgrades, Searock Stafford CM was the landlord’s representative for the tenant buildout of the entire building.

Milken Community Schools renovated two existing classroom wings to become the Guerin Family Institute and Architecture and Design Institute. The dramatic transformation designed by Lehrer Architects included replacing all exterior walls and interiors to provide new learning space for Milken’s award winning technology and arts programs. The renovations were completed over one summer with minimal impact to on-going school operations.

The LA Prep project consisted of the remodel of an existing warehouse that now houses a multitenant food production center. LA Prep provides functional, affordable and fully permitted wholesale food production space to successful small and medium sized food companies that have outgrown their startup facilities. The project is the first of its kind in Southern California and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal.
